Hey guys, I'm Fiona! I'm originally from 苏州, Pittsburgh has been my second home for the past 5 years where I explored Engineering, Statistics and Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon.

I'm a data scientist and Product Manager wannabe. I always stay curious and try to be a better problem solver.

Off the clock, I'm either cooking, hiking, peeking at squirrels or watching Rick n Morty. My new favorite animal is wombat!!

• Implement a data pipeline on disaster identification from Twitter data feed
• Create a classification model to classify tweets into 10 disaster categories
• Collaborate with 7 volunteers across 5 countries on
creating a proof-of-concept crisis mapping platform

Data Science Intern

Capital One | REMOTE Jun 2021 - Aug 2021

• Built an ETL pipeline in Python and SQL to fetch
investigator data from diverse sources to Snowflake
• Produced customer risk insights and proposed
risk feature creation through exploratory data analysis
• Developed a proof-of-concept model prototype to improve customer risk rating accuracy by 5%
